The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that sign installation and other construction activities will continue on U.S. 1 under a $116 million project to reconstruct, widen, and improve a three-mile section of the highway in Bensalem and Middletown townships, Bucks County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, November 10, through Friday, November 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, periodic lane closures will be in place on U.S. 1 in both directions between Highland Avenue and Route 132 (Street Road).
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The work is part of PennDOT’s U.S. 1/RC2 contract that will reconstruct and widen U.S. 1 from south of the Rockhill Drive Interchange to north of the Penndel/Business U.S. 1 Interchange.
